I saw this video about the same time I was trying to put my own thoughts on this subject into words, and while I am not Catholic, I AM a Christian.

The majority of Americans profess to be Christian, but more and more frequently I hear the expression, "My faith is one part of my life, but it doesn't belong in politics. I keep it separate." REALLY?!
Tell me, please, my brother or sister, how exactly do you split your soul into parts? Because you see, when I surrendered all to Jesus, He sealed me for eternity. My body became His temple and I am His. I am to honor Him in ALL that I do. I am to be salt and light. I am to be His hands and feet. I am to live so that others see Him in me. My purpose has changed. I am no longer of this world. His grace has changed my eternity and given me victory on this planet. The Holy Spirit is inside of me. I don't peel God away to go into the grocery store, to go to work, or even to shower. I am His whether I am asleep, awake, singing, crying, sick, exercising,etc. You get the point. So again, explain to me how I leave Christ in the parking lot when I cast my vote for those that will govern our lives? Tell me how I would ever vote for someone that could gather money from us all to stab babies in the back of the skull in what is known as a "legal" act but so very immoral? Please let us not ever forget....we are CALLED to live for Christ. If we don't vote our values, we don't live our faith. The unsaved are watching us for a sign of hope and truth. LET THEM SEE IT.

President's Day 2012
Well, folks, it's that time of year again! The time to celebrate our presidents by being locked out of our financial institutions, missing out on a day's mail delivery, and trying to find a way to juggle care for the out-of-schook kiddos.
I think my most favorite part of today was when President Obama came out of the White House this morning and saw his shadow, thus thrusting six more months of high unemployment rates on us.

The Never Ending Story.....
Too many of my fellow conservatives are losing heart right now. While it is the case that my favorite candidate left the race, nothing has changed about the magnitude of the election of 2012.
We can’t lose sight of the fact that Obama HAS to be fired….no matter what. If that doesn’t happen, we may very well lose everything about America that her citizens hold dear, including most of our individual freedoms!
Face the fact that there is no perfect candidate. Unlike democrats, conservatives don’t need a messiah….we already have one. This won’t be a “job done” election or a quick fix. It’s only “job one”. No matter the replacement for our president, we can never again go back to our sleep walking stance of the past. We will have to continue to be watchmen and we will have to work on replacing socialism on every level: the local school boards, the judicial system, state legislators, congressmen, and mayors. Government can no longer be something “other people” handle. There will be yet another presidential election in 2016 and we still have much work to do and many good Americans rising in the ranks for that and future elections. My hope is to one day see Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Allen West, or Marco Rubio (among others) on those ballots.
The infighting and desperation going on in our primary concerns me. I'm sure it delights the liberals and their media. Our fight is not against each other. It is against the current socialist-bent administration and its policies and we have to stop slamming each other and our candidates in order to do what needs to be done. Divided we fall, united we stand? sound familiar? I'm all about vetting.....and I know that the final contender has to be prepared for the nastiest fight we're likely to see in our lifetime, but some of the dirt being thrown may be the weapon used to deal a fatal blow to our mission. Some of the rifts opened with each other may be rifts that cost us freedoms we hold dear.
We have bars to raise and standards to bear. Most of all, we have our children to teach and to set the example for. We have to make sure our children know that what we did, they can’t do…..stop watching. I want my sons to know that for them, government involvement will be a lifetime hobby. It will be up to them to see that their children know too. Watching those that govern us and staying involved in the process has to continue. It has to be our new American story….the never ending story.

An Angry White Woman...
So I've read this week that our FLOTUS is perturbed at her perceived portrayal as an "angry black woman." Really??...There are so much worse things to be called: broke, unemployed,etc. etc.
Perhaps her concern could be alleviated if she'd simply SMILE occasionally? Stop disparaging her country and countrymen? Act in public like she actually APPRECIATED the multi-million dollar, all expenses paid vacations? I do believe I could muster a smile for the camera upon my return from 17 days in Hawaii. I would certainly be grateful and happy for the designer duds, rent free mansion, and round the clock security for my children and family.
But then, what do I know? I'm simply an American that has been forced to watch the downfall of my country from afar....its forced descent into socialized medicine via blackmail and dirty deals. I'm paying double now for gas in my car and food on my table. I no longer have the employment prospects for myself or know whether or not my children will have jobs or a future upon graduation. My husband has had to travel weekly and live away from home most of each week for almost four years due to the increasing job destruction under our current administration. I have no idea if I'll be able to ever afford to retire, and IF I get a vacation this year, it will be by cashing in deals and claiming premiums. I and my fellow Americans are losing personal liberties and freedoms weekly. I can't turn on the t.v. without being embarrassed by the POTUS: his foreign policy, class warfare, socialist ideology, lack of leadership, and failed economic policies.
So....pardon me sweetie if I don't shed too many tears over the adjectives that are so burdening you this week, bless your heart. You see, I myself am one angry white woman!

...and justice for all.
As a young child, I recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in school with my hand over my heart, facing the flag. Even though it was not politicized, discussed, or debated, it managed to seep into my blood, bones, and my very heart. It made me proud to be an American. It reassured me that we were a strong, and united country, and with those last resounding words, I was convinced that although life might never be "fair", in my country, there would be justice for all, and for this reason, people everywhere admired the U.S.A.
While I know that our current level of government corruption did not begin three years ago, a wake up call of earthquake proportions hit me hard with the swearing in as president of someone most of us know now is in office due to voter fraud, crony support, and behind the scenes thuggery. Our attorney general is conducting himself as if he were above every law, and our president is operating above, around, and outside of the Constitution. With a new scandal everyday, a new illegality occuring at least every week, I find myself questioning where law enforcement is?!?! I don't ever remember hearing my parents, grandparents, or great grandparents talking about the president SUING a state of the union for enforcing laws. I can't believe that a border patrol agent is dead due to criminal action at the DOJ, voter intimidation charges were dropped on racist grounds, and the attorney general is still going to work every day! A commander in chief with sealed records, suspiciously "losing" military drones, apologizing and kowtowing to enemy powers, taking over private businesses, and circumventing congress to pass policy the American people have loudly rejected.....I am still waiting for the men with handcuffs to show up on the lawn of the White House. Our illegal immigration laws are not being enforced, yet I live in a state that the president tried to block jobs in to please big union supporters. I think I fell down a rabbit hole!
I'm not a politician. I'm not savvy to the inner workings of our capitol. But I can read......and I'm reading way too many reports of criminal activity in some of our highest elected offices. It's time somebody explained to me what happened to "justice for all".....I want to know when the consequences begin for the abuse of our legal system. I want justice.

Merry Christmas and Where's My Mail?!
Well, well....it seems that Congress just left for CHRISTMAS break! You know...that holiday that it is not allowed to acknowledge? That same congress who can send "holiday" cards to their constituents but best not mention CHRISTMAS, or said expenditures are not covered? This particular administration and it's minions have gone out of their way to eradicate Christmas and the very sound of the word leaves them trembling with anger. This is the first season I remember Christians having to fight so hard to put up nativity scenes, share a Christmas greeting, or have their elected officials in our predominantly Christian nation be under fire for acknowledging it. As Fox news has deemed, it is indeed a "War on Christmas".
It sounds to me like the "I believe in nothing" police have decided they want "the cake" of their tree, gifts, and perks, but they want to "eat it too". If Congress can't acknowledge Christmas, they need to work and get their jobs done. Our president and his family doesn't need a vacation at our expense to celebrate a holiday he and his administration doesn't want aknowledged. Our postal system doesn't need Christmas pay....they need to clock in and deliver my mail...And every single atheist that takes a paid work vacation day for CHRISTMAS needs to either give that pay back, or volunteer to work. Hypocrisy is alive and well in our illogical government hallways. So, Merry Christmas to all of my sisters and brothers in Christ! As for the rest of you......where's my mail?!

The election of our lifetime is coming close enough that my thoughts are running to the days after it takes place.
For the past year, polls are increasingly pointing out a majority of unhappy Americans, but in the last few weeks, the in-fighting between conservatives plus the naysayers predicting Obama can 'work his magic' again on the sheep is leaving me with some uneasy feelings.
I, like so many other Christians not only in America, but across the world, have prayed and are trusting that God will guide His people no matter what happens, but I know in my heart that this is our last chance at stopping the socialism and entitlement age that the current administration is fueling and feeding. Once the "goodies" for the masses become so entrenched that taking them away means angry street mobs and dangerous confrontations, we might be truly lost. Once the great light of liberty is extinguished here, there is no other place to go and no great nation to stand up for oppressed humanity.
I will continue to hope, pray, and work for awareness and continue to believe that the true American spirit will come forth and save our nation for our children, but if I let my mind wander to "what if?".......
I know that my faith and beliefs will be greatly tested because I see myself with fewer friends and family members that I can keep in my life. How can we sit across a table and break bread with family members that we know will have caused the downfall of all we believe in? How can we work peaceably and comfortably alongside "traitors" to all we hold dear? I just don't think I will be able to stomach it, because you see....this is no 'normal' election where we can agree to disagree, and then go watch the game.....THIS election is "make or break". This election will change our nation forever...for the better or for the worse. This election will cause mighty splits in families and between neighbors, the likes of which probably will not have been seen since the Civil War.
Please do all that you can to make sure everyone around you knows what is at stake this November....and that is only a start. The Congress needs to be cleaned out and cleaned up. Something has to be done on all levels of government to unravel the mess..But we have to start making people aware of what we have to lose.....in 2013.
