Dead Silence

"There is nothing more important in my life than my relationship with God and my faith and in this past year especially -- past year and a half -- I have been so driven to my knees to pray for His guidance, for His wisdom, for His grace and for His Strength. And I'm never going to tell anybody else how to live, I'm never going to preach to anybody else and tell them you must do that. But I sure would like to see more Americans give it a try and seek the guidance that our Founding Fathers sought and were able to [then] craft documents that allowed America to become the greatest, strongest, healthiest, most prosperous nation on earth."
"I believe that there are eternal ramifications based on what we do here."....Sarah Palin in an interview 1/13/10 with Fox's Glenn Beck

I, too, believe that there are eternal ramifications based on what we do here. It is imperative that God's people, and especially those that seem to have taken a vow of apathetic silence, speak up and speak out for truth, liberty, and justice. We WILL be held accountable for our action.....and as importantly, our non-action.
In the book of Ezekiel, God called this prophet to speak of His coming divine judgement on the obstinate and rebellious nation of Israel........"He said, 'Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they have been in revolt against me to this very day. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, "This is what the Sovereign Lord says", and whether they listen or fail to listen-they will know that a prophet has been among them. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you  live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious." Ezekiel 2:3-7
In the book of Esther, it was Esther's action that saved her people according to God's divine plan for her life......"Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:13-14
Our history as the people of God is filled and overflowing with our activity and obedience to God's glory.... We must not only believe God's truths, we are required to speak them. "I believed therefore I have spoken" 2 Cor: 4:13. Our words of faith have so much power in this world. In order for God to use our faith and be His hands and feet, we must first move off of our sofas, out of our apathy, and away from the worldly distractions thrown at us for the sole purpose of rendering us ineffective. We are fighting a spiritual battle for the life of our nation and it's purpose to the world as a beacon of Christ and His freedoms. That light is to direct others to the saving truths of God's word and purposes and in our deadly silence as Christians, we are giving up, waving a white flag to evil, and allowing fear, laziness, doubt, ignorance, and apathy to steal truth and salvation and believe this my friends..........there WILL be a price to pay for this deadly silence.
What purpose would God's armor serve if we didn't need to fight? A belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit isn't needed by a silenced and nonparticipating Christian soldier.
Be strong, be courageous and remember that your God is mighty to save. He is great and awesome and He will sustain you! He has never forsaken those that seek Him. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
"Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord your God who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives and your homes" Neh. 4:14
Speaking God's truth and standing up for what is right and against what is evil is never easy. But it is our calling to be a light in the darkness, and it is the only hope a lost dying world and a captive nation have.
So, I will continue to pray that more and more of my brothers and sisters in Christ would awaken from their dead silence. Everything we do and everything we don't do will have eternal ramifications as well as serious ones in this time that God has placed us in. If He didn't have a purpose for us now, in this place, and in this time, then He'd take us home. We are not here to be slaves to anyone or anything, including slothfulness, fear, reality t.v., political correctness, or world acceptance.
"The Commission to Faith"
"Lord today I accept my calling not to perfection or performance. My calling is to faith. I have been chosen for this generation. I have a place in the heritage of faith. I'm going to stop wishing and whining and start believing and receiving. What Your Word says is mine. I won't let others steal my hope. I won't argue with a Pharisee. I will believe and therefore speak, for You, my God, are huge. Nothing is too hard for You.
Our World needs your wonders. Rise up, oh Lord!
Please renew Your works in our day. I confess the unbelief of my generation and ask You to begin Your revival of faith in my own heart. For You are who You say You are. You can do what You say You can do. I am who You say I am. I can do all things through Christ. Your Word is alive and active in me. Satan, hear me clearly: My Father is Maker of heaven and earth. You are under my feet, because today and the rest of my days, I'M BELIEVING GOD!".........Beth Moore's "Believing God"
